So, I was off to Joanns to get Rifle Green fleece(yes, it really is called that on the label), black fleece, scraps of white fleece, and LOTS of thread. When it came to the actual design, I simply used the wallpaper version of the Keep It Clean logo for reference on my computer, measured out the pieces, and cut them out. I did so much measuring I thought I was going to go insane, but I’m glad I did since everything came out so precise and neat looking.

The hardest part was probably sewing the whole damn thing together. Since satin stitching takes so long due to how close together the stitches are, the fact that you have to use stabilizer, and that if you even slightly stretch the fabric, it will look gross; and fleece stretches, so I had to be extra careful. You can see that I rushed through some of it in areas where it “bubbles”, mostly around the face and eyes, whereas the hand and plunger is more neat looking.

Oh, and I was PISSED when I was ALMOST done with all that damn stitching, had about 20″ left to go, and I ran out of thread..D:< So, off to Joanns again, forgot to bring the thread spool to see which color to get, so back to the house and back to Joanns again! (I love you Mike, I love you very much, thank you for putting up with my uber scatterbrainy-ness)

Also, keep an eye out, I plan to make a couple more to sell in the next couple months. ;)

I present to you the blanket that would keep even the hardiest ODST warm and cozy on a cold, New Mombasa night.

Is is ok to wash and dry? I mean will any weird stretching and crimping happen if it goes through a hot dryer?

Thank you! I will definitely let you know when I get around to making more, this turned out more popular than I thought it would. Thanks for the interest! ^^

It’s perfectly fine to wash and dry it. I would recommend hanging it up to dry, then throw it in the dryer on a low heat with a softener sheet to take away the static and make it nice and fluffy. ^_^
